There’s something about those “puppy dog eyes” when heading out the door that just hits different, especially on a hectic work morning.
Between back-to-back meetings and random errands, finding time for long walks or play sessions feels nearly impossible some days.
Our pups, though, aren’t big fans of us being gone for ours—they need their dose of fun, friends, and belly rubs too! That’s exactly why dog daycare has become a total lifesaver for so many of us.
It keeps our furry friends entertained and socialised, all while giving us a little peace of mind. If the struggle of balancing work and playtime sounds familiar, stick around—here are the best dog daycare centres in Charlotte to make everyone’s tail wag!
How much does a day in a dog daycare cost in Charlotte?
In Charlotte, most dog daycares charge between $30 and $45 per day, depending on the centre and package options.
This often covers supervised playtime, socialisation, and sometimes extra perks like enrichment activities or report cards.
1. Hounds Town Charlotte – NoDa

Address: 117 W 29th St.
Phone: +1 704 870 7096
Business Hours:
- Monday to Friday – 7 AM to 12 PM, 2 PM to 7 PM
- Saturday – 9 AM to 4 PM
- Sunday – 11 AM to 1 PM
Houndstown Charlotte NoDa is easily one of our top picks, partly because everything just feels built around what both dogs and humans need.
First off, it’s impossible not to love their super convenient online booking and the free first day of daycare for new clients.
We also love how the staff takes great care to match dogs up with buddies based on size, age, and temperament. This makes a big difference for overall safety and fun!
Several clients we spoke with highlighted that the staff were patient in helping nervous dogs settle in more quickly. Plus, they rotate the pups through different play areas, so there’s always something new to sniff and explore.
Even with all the playtime, we were surprised that the daycare remains spotlessly clean. As a bonus, their range of other services, like boarding, pet spa, and even a pet taxi, means there’s hardly anything they can’t help you with.
The only thing a couple of clients wished for was more frequent daily updates.
Caring staff
“Great first time experience! Diesel seemed to absolutely love his time at Hounds Town Noda. He was trying to go back inside the minute we walked out! Good sign. Everyone was very welcoming and informative. We also did a grooming. So he looks, feels and smells great! You get your first day of daycare free and half off grooming! Very sweet gesture! Greatly appreciated and we will be back soon! Thank you guys for loving our pup! See ya soon.”

Friendly and knowledgeable staff
“My dog loves this place! The staff are very friendly and know all of the dog guests and owners by name. I love that my huge dog is worn out after being there for a few hours playing with dog and puppy friends. The option of having her bathed and having a nail trim is great too!”

2. Pet Paradise Charlotte

Address: 2919 Boyer St.
Phone: +1 704 393 3647
Business Hours:
- Monday to Friday – 6:30 AM to 7 PM
- Saturday and Sunday – 7 AM to 6 PM
Pet Paradise Charlotte sort of wins us over with its flashy live webcams. We felt it was a bit like giving pet parents the TV remote so they can check in anytime.
We also had a blast touring their spacious indoor and outdoor play zones and adventure-splash areas! Their staff even kept things cheerful and didn’t shy away from answering even our weirdest questions about dog sleep habits and picky eaters.
Their play sessions are all about mixing with the right crowd, since everyone gets grouped by size or activeness. This is the sort of thoughtful matchmaking that makes us want to sign up ourselves.
Meanwhile, pet parents love coming back here, mainly because of Pet Paradise’s climate-controlled suites and 24/7 pickup and drop-off.
But, of course, nothing’s perfect. Word on the street is that cleanliness and staff attention sometimes slip up during the busiest times. Still, for a dog haven with this much action (and actual beds for naptime divas), we’d still recommend Pet Paradise.
Great live webcams
“I’ve been using pet paradise for years. I have a very sweet Great Dane who can be timid at first and then bubbly the next and she absolutely loves pet paradise. I travel often and I’ve never had issues or concerns when my baby has stayed there. She’s stayed there for as min. 2 days to max 11 days when I went to Colombia a few years ago. There’s cameras, there’s options for foods if she runs out, and she gets her one on one time since she’s not spayed. If I ever need to extend a stay because of traffic or change in flight there is never any hassle. It’s worth the money in my opinion. I switch from lake Norman and Charlotte airport. Normally we go to lake Norman if we accidently aren’t up to date on shots. Love love this place. I don’t trust a lot of places with my fur baby especially as big and beautiful as she is.”

Amazing management
“We have been taking our dog here for daycare three times a week for a couple months now and he loves it. He stays from roughly 8am to 4pm. He always comes home tired and happy. He’s a husky so on our way there, the whole ride he’s talking up a storm because he’s so excited. My experience with management/customer service has also been amazing. They have been very helpful and accommodating. All the staff are very kind and seem to care a lot for the dogs here. It is always going to be hard to trust places like this with your dog but mine is always so excited to go that I know he is having fun and being cared for. Thank you!”

3. Social Pet at Charlotte

Address: 3814 Monroe Rd.
Phone: +1 704 835 1022
Business Hours:
- Monday to Sunday – 7 AM to 12 PM, 2 PM to 7 PM
Social Pet Charlotte feels a bit like the summer camp we always wanted as kids—except this time, our dogs get to have all the fun. Right off the bat, the team reels us in with a top-tier intro: a warm meet-and-greet and personality checks.
We really dug how the schedule here keeps things from ever feeling like doggy chaos. They provide puzzle time, scent work, agility courses, and plenty of chill moments, too!
Their three locations also mean even the morning commute crowd can find a spot close by. Furthermore, clients were vocal about loving the midday phone updates and those detailed end–of-day reports with photos—transparency is definitely a big theme here!
We also commend their flexible packages. Your dog can either slide between group shenanigans or solo hangouts, totally up to you.
If there’s a tiny bark in the park, it’s the pickup system—a few pet parents admit things move a bit slow during busy hours.
Accommodating special needs
“I had a great experience boarding my Bulldog for 4 days! He has some special needs and takes daily medication and this was my first time boarding him so I was especially nervous, but I can tell he had the best time. I received emails every evening and they were super accommodating when my travel plans unexpectedly changed and he had to stay an extra night. Online booking was extremely easy and every single staff member I talked to on the phone or in person was so friendly! It’s obvious everyone truly loves to care for the pets. & when I picked up my pup some other dogs were coming in for daycare and their tails were wagging. It seems like everyone is happy to be there!”

Frequent updates
“An absolutely wonderful place! I am always nervous about where I board my fur baby (German Shorthaired Pointer) but Social Pet was phenomenal! I got daily pictures and report cards and he looked so happy and playful! He came home smiley, safe and having met some great new friends! 10/10 recommend!!!!!”

4. Dogs All Day

Address: 4460 Old Pinesville Rd.
Phone: +1 704 523 3380
Business Hours:
- Monday to Friday – 7 AM to 7 PM
- Saturday and Sunday – 8:30 AM to 6 PM
Dogs All Day is a spot that takes its playtime seriously. First off, they boast six separate indoor/outdoor play zones, each custom-matched to dogs by size and temperament.
We also found a heap of energy from a team of handlers who know when to hype up and when to bring it down for a polite sit or calm wait at the gate.
The raving about their reinforcement of good behaviour isn’t just hype—regulars tell us dogs pick up new manners here that actually stick. Some added about the peace of mind their webcams provide, allowing them to check in every chance they get.
Furthermore, Dogs All Day is open all year, and even boarders get in on the daily action. Of course, for all the five-star reviews about tired, happy pups, a few clients did mention wishing for gentler handling.
So, checking your pup carefully for any signs of discomfort upon pickup is always a good idea.
Lots of play sessions
“My pups have been going to Dogs All Day for boarding and daycare since 2011 and we absolutely love it! You can always find them on the cameras and the staff is so interactive with them. They are always happy to get there and come home exhausted from a fun day/week of play! I love that they play all day and aren’t stuck in cages for hours at a time besides sleep time.”
Katie DeMarais, Google Review
Worth every penny
“My little monster has been going to Dogs All Day since I have adopted her. She has basically grown up at this place. They take such good care of her and are always willing to take her into daycare and boarding. The prices are extremely reasonable and they play all day as opposed to some of the other daycares where it is only for a couple hours. I can’t say enough good things about this special place! They truly care about and love the dogs as if they were theirs.”

5. Camp Bow Wow Charlotte Metro

Address: 4900 Chastain Ave.
Phone: +1 980 860 9921
Business Hours:
- Monday to Saturday – 7 AM to 7 PM
- Sunday – 7 AM to 11 AM, 4 PM to 7 PM
Camp Bow Wow Charlotte Metro really stands out for pet parents who like to stay involved in their dog’s day, even from afar. We noticed right away that live webcams are a huge perk—perfect for a midday dose of reassurance.
But a big part of why clients come back seems to be their team. Their Certified Camp Counselors® are well-trained in dog behaviour, as well as pet CPR and first aid. It’s like dropping your furry friend off with a babysitter who also happens to be a lifeguard.
The team is also great at balancing dog-dog and dog-human socialisation, which is great for mental stimulation and keeps things interesting for even the pickiest pups.
The Camp Bow Wow app gets a few points from us for making appointment booking laughably simple. However, we have to mention the occasional front-desk grouchiness.
Some pet parents shared stories about less-than-warm greetings, especially during peak hours.
Great variety of enrichment activities
“I can’t say enough wonderful things about Camp Bow Wow! Our dog Bowie absolutely loves it here, and we have total peace of mind every time we drop her off. They offer different enrichment activities every day that help the pups decompress and have fun to where they forget they are at daycare. I don’t have enough space to say how much we love Maddie and Karley! This place would not run without them! They both go above and beyond in taking care of our dog and treat her as one of their own! Thanks to them, Bowie always comes home happy and tired from a day full of fun and attention. We’re so grateful to have found a place where she’s not just safe, but loved. Thank you Maddie and Karley and Camp Bow Wow for being the best place to take our dogs in Charlotte!”
