We extensively test and research all services we review. Here's why you can trust us.

Experience: Someone who specialises in headshots is important, rather than general photography, so they can tell you how to pose correctly for professional portraits.

Portfolio: Their portfolio must have consistent quality in lighting and editing, ensuring that clients know what they’ll be receiving once the service is booked.

Communication: Directing the client to pose correctly can help achieve a more polished and professional look.

Availability: A photographer who is easy to book can accommodate more clients.

Rates: Reasonably priced services can cater to all sorts of budgets.

Is it time to update your LinkedIn? Or do you need a new image to establish your brand?

Getting professional photos isn’t something you do on a phone camera. Selfies are a no-no, and not all photographers can give you a look that says, “I’m a professional!”

If you want to make a strong impression at your job, here are Charlotte’s best headshot photographers for images that will show your credibility!

If you look at experience, Scott Clinton Photography has it all. He’s got the eye for detail, having held the camera since he was young, and then working in New York City.

His specialisation is impressive, with expertise in professional and adapted settings. When you look at his portfolio, you’ll see a variety, not just the typical corporate photos.

For example, he’s well-versed in using props while maintaining the professional headshot look. This is why he’s spot on for all kinds of careers, whether you’re in corporate or entertainment.

His rates for headshot photography are surprisingly reasonable, starting at $290. I genuinely think you’re getting your money’s worth.

Do note that his availability is tight, given that he splits his time between Charlotte and New York City. So if you’re in a hurry, he might not be available at a moment’s notice.

  • Shoots in adapted and professional settings
  • Creative yet professional approach
  • Well-versed in using props
  • Rates are reasonable

Cons

  • Busy schedule

Amazing to work with

“Scott was amazing to work with. He made the shoot feel comfortable, and fun, which really helped me relax in front of the camera. He gave clear direction whilst still letting my personality come through, and the photos turned out incredible. I’m so grateful for the experience and would absolutely recommend him to any actor looking for high-quality headshots.”

One of those rare gems

“Scott is one of those rare gems I always tell people about and “when he calls, I’ll be there.” I’ve worked with him for several years now, and he consistently creates a comfortable space where you can explore and push creative ideas. As a woman in this industry, it’s rare to feel truly safe and supported, and that’s something Scott brings to every set. Thank you. Not only does he create a great space but the photos and videos he captures are spot on!! I could not recommend him enough to shoot your next headshot session, modeling photo shoot and even capturing footage of a business you’re wanting to advertise. He’s your guy! Check out the photos I’ve attached.. They speak for themselves! Thank you Scott!!”

Awesome

“Michael is awesome! After a few rounds of taking photos he would show me what he likes not just through the lens of a photographer but as a potential client viewing my portrait. This allowed us to capitalize our time and find the “money shot” then expand upon that with different styles and outfits for variety. Michael is transparent, kind, genuine and has a quick turnaround time for deliverables. I will be using him for all my future photography needs!”

-Njeri Henderson, Google Review

Very polite and patient

“A week ago, I attended a phenomenal Event entitled: “The Hope Global Forum” in Atlanta, Georgia. It was a tremendous blessing to have Micheal as my photographer. The set up was amazing. He was very polite & patient. Even though the line was extremely long. Micheal & his coworker maintained their cool. I received my pictures by email in less than 15 minutes. Talk about fast quality work. Ten out of ten, I strongly recommend.”
