The Top 5 Naturopaths in Charlotte for Holistic Healing That Works!

naturopaths-in-charlotte
We extensively test and research all services we review. Here's why you can trust us.

Expertise: The naturopath must have extensive education, background, and knowledge in traditional medicine without invalidating modern medicine that the patient needs.

Specialization: It’s a massive advantage for the practitioner to specialize in various health conditions so they can accommodate more patients.

Range of Services: Offering a variety of therapies and treatments can help various health issues, resulting in more clients having access to naturopathy.

Consultation: In-depth consultations allow the patients to gauge whether the practitioner is the right fit for them.

Availability: The easier they are to book, the quicker the whole process will be for the patients, especially when they’re in pain.

Fees: We prioritised naturopathic clinics with affordable pricing to accommodate all budgets. If their rates are above average, they should align with their overall quality of service.

I’m guilty of being one of those people who didn’t believe in natural remedies. But after a bad health episode, one where I had to employ home care to aid with daily tasks, I finally went to a naturopathic doctor because, honestly, I was at a loss.

And let me tell you, it was the best decision I made. Combined with conventional medicine, it made my life so much easier, which I thought wasn’t possible with the pain I was in.

Naturopathy simply uses traditional medicine, holistic approaches, and lifestyle changes to improve your well-being. So, if you’re dealing with acute and chronic conditions, my team and I are sharing the best naturopathic clinics we’ve tried in Charlotte.

Here’s to natural healing!

What is the cost of a naturopathic clinic in Charlotte?

The cost of a naturopathic clinic in Charlotte is around $250 to $450 for the initial appointment, while follow-up visits range between $150 to $200. The cost will vary, depending on the naturopath’s expertise and additional services.

When talking about holistic medicine, Charlotte Natural Wellness is always one of our choices. They’re ideal for families (especially mothers), as they specialize in women’s health.

To give you an idea, their specialization lies in hormonal imbalance, while still focusing on digestive issues, stress-related issues, thyroid imbalances, and breast cancer prevention.

Furthermore, their specialty testing services detect optimal levels to better identify deficiencies. The comprehensive support completely wowed us, and it even includes physician-grade, all-organic supplements to ensure quality and maximum absorption.

Availability-wise, they’re golden. Their holistic doctors (who are medically trained, BTW) are available for in-person, online, and phone consultations.

It’s not all rosy, unfortunately, as their prices aren’t exactly low. Aside from the paid discovery calls ($15 for 15 minutes), a new patient visit will cost you $550.

But when you look at the results, you’ll understand the prices. The in-depth and customized plans have helped many patients who saw positive results in their bodies.

Pros

  • Provides specialty testing services
  • Uses physician-grade supplements
  • All supplements are organic
  • Medically trained holistic doctors

For our team, it’s obvious why Carolinas Natural Health Center is included on our list. They approach issues like how traditional healthcare would, with personalized and patient-centered care, but with holistic strategies.

They specialize in various conditions, like women’s health, chronic illnesses, digestive problems, and diabetes. But what truly stood out was their focus on mental health, where they help patients suffering from anxiety and depression.

Furthermore, they prioritize prevention through plans tailored to each patient, instead of waiting for illnesses to show up. After all, it’s better to make lifestyle changes before it’s too late!

As an example, they utilize both Eastern and Western medicine for a more comprehensive care. To make it even better, they treat all ages, incorporating naturopathic medicine and homeopathy.

We also found their free discovery calls helpful, but there are very limited slots—and by that, we mean only a couple of days a week, and no advanced booking. We get it, since they’re busy with existing patients who have in-person and virtual appointments already.

Pros

  • Personalized, patient-centered care
  • Focuses on preventative care
  • Has free discovery calls
  • Treats all ages

Cons

  • Very limited slots for discovery calls

IVY Integrative is one of the largest holistic clinics we’ve been to in Charlotte. And when we say largest, we mean they have a team of over 15 licensed practitioners, including naturopathic doctors, herbalists, clinical nutritionists, and acupuncturists.

That’s quite a team, and it gives them a leg up because they can accommodate various illnesses without consulting with other clinics. Even their patients appreciated their holistic therapies, which address a wide range of issues.

For example, their clinic already provides naturopathic medicine, herbal medicine, acupuncture, Bowen therapy, and nutritional therapy. These are truly remarkable for optimal wellness!

Another thing that sets them apart is their à la carte services and package plans. You get the option to receive a multi-session package, an integrative membership, or pay per service—ideal for both short and long-term naturopathy.

A blessing to have someone actually listen and care about you

“I can not recommend Dr. Boyd and Ashley enough. They are absolutely lovely and a pleasure to work with. I found Ivy Integraive to help with anxiety and my health overall and I am so glad I found it. I’m so convinced of their service that even my husband comes in as well and we are oh so thankful. It is such a blessing to have someone that actually listens and cares about you. Both my husband and I were both very disappointed about the medical system and we’re so happy to have found Ivy Integrative; we have hope and are so happy with the progress we’re both making. Thank you Ashley and Dr. Boyd for taking great care of us and actually educating us on our bodies and its wonders!”

Amazing to work with

“Dr. Hendershot has been amazing to work with! I have had so many other doctors be dismissive of my concerns and symptoms. Dr. Hendershot listens and is encouraging. Naturopathic Health, established in 2008, is where you’ll get a highly experienced naturopath, who is exactly what we want. Dr. Cherie Minette worked with Natural Doctors International, which provides natural medicine to underserved communities.

Her focus on acute and chronic conditions makes her highly accessible to residents of Charlotte. Plus, she utilizes a wide array of therapies, such as homeopathy, herbal medicine, hydrotherapy, and supplements.

What’s incredible is that she goes way beyond physical illnesses. It’s due to her counseling services, which she provides through psychotherapy, to help patients with mental health conditions.

To top it off, she makes naturopathy accessible to all budgets, since new patients will only have to pay $269 for the initial visit and $169 for follow-ups. A free discovery call would be nice, but we can’t have everything now, can we?

Overall, her services are worth every dollar. Her consultations, available in-office and virtually, have been in-depth, where she’s been praised by her patients for not pushing certain remedies they might not be comfortable with.

Pros

  • Utilizes a wide array of therapies
  • Provides psychotherapy
  • Affordable services
  • In-depth consultations

Cons

  • No free discovery calls

Wonderful and very consistent

“Dr. Minette has been wonderful and very consistent! Whenever I have any questions she promptly responds to my emails. Also, when my treatment needed to be updated she had another call with me and helped me update my supplements. She is very knowledgeable and professional. We just had to include New River Natural Health, a very chill and understanding naturopathic doctor in Charlotte. Dr. Dave Hamilton is also an herbalist who focuses on physical, emotional, mental, and spiritual well-being.

That’s mainly why we picked him, as every visit feels like meeting an old friend. Our team members, who were his clients, were grateful for his friendly yet professional approach, which made them feel comfortable from the very first consultation.

He helps with a wide array of health concerns, such as gastrointestinal disorders, men’s and women’s health, food sensitivities, and autoimmune diseases. Incredibly, he uses several modalities, like homeopathy and diet changes, to find the best fit for your body.

Want to know what bummed us out? His in-person appointments have stopped in Charlotte, but he’s still available virtually for new and existing patients.
