Even with limited online feedback, we chose to include Summer Tailoring for its 27+ years of experience.
It also helped that this tailor offered one of the most comprehensive selections of services among its peers in Charlotte, ranging from simple zipper replacements to bridal dress alterations.
We also reached out to their previous and regular clients, who shared that their garments always come out perfectly, regardless of the alterations. They attributed this to the tailors’ attentiveness during the consultation, noting that they considered every small detail.

OMJ Clothing caught our attention with its high-end, luxurious aesthetic. Of course, high prices and long waiting times are expected in places like these, but we still included it, given the premium quality of its offered products and overall experience.
For starters, when we saw their products in person, we immediately thought they could easily pass as designer clothing because of the quality of their fabrics.
Upon further review, we discovered that they source their fabrics from luxury mills such as Carlo Barbera and Hardy Minnis.
Moreover, we appreciated the variety of fabrics they offered, including textures, patterns, and colours. These fabrics are presented by the tailors, and to their credit, they do a fantastic job at explaining them and recommending which one to choose based on their clients’ style.
As for the fitting experience, it’s world-class as well, with the tailors offering a welcoming ambience and taking the time to understand clients’ desired outcomes. Furthermore, tailors would take more than 30 measurements to achieve the best possible fit.

“I purchased this tux for my wedding, and it was absolutely perfect—especially for our hot weather destination ceremony. The material was light, breathable, and surprisingly comfortable throughout the entire day, even under the sun.

“We had the most wonderful experience with John Emily! We gave them the challenge of remaking my 1990 Galena silk gown into something more modern for my daughter, and they did an outstanding job!
They worked long and hard on the smallest details until it fit her perfectly and looked stunning. They constructed an interior support system and straps that made it comfortable enough for her to dance as much as she liked without concern.
My mother had kept extra lace from my dress that they were able to add on to the top after we removed the sleeves and collar. And they came up with creative ways to keep the length just right without having to hem it, even though she is two inches shorter than I am.
