Keely Childers impressed us with her strong resume, including her EMDR certification and licensure as a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Instructor. The former guarantees that she’s well-equipped for trauma therapy, while the latter cements her evidence-based approach.
We were also impressed with the breadth of her expertise, providing therapy for children, people with anxiety, trauma, depression, etc.
Our respondents came from different sessions, and their main takeaway was Childers’ safe and welcoming aura. They also noted that her judgment-free approach immediately made them feel at ease and comfortable opening up about their deepest traumas.
We also appreciated how she helped her patients set attainable goals during their sessions, providing a sense of progress each time they met. Patients even shared that they started looking forward to their meetings to share the progress they had made.
It’s fairly easy to book an appointment with Childers thanks to Charlotte Counselling and Wellness’ online system.
The only issue we could see deterring potential patients is the center’s limited availability of public feedback online.

Best therapist that I have ever had. She lets you talk about any and everything and helps you get through the trauma that you have had for years!”

Has changed my life for the better
“I’ve been seeing Keely at Charlotte Counseling & Wellness for 7 months now, and she is AMAZING. Truly amazing. She genuinely cares about her clients, and she has changed my life for the better.
It’s relatively easy to find a therapist who listens to you. The challenging part is finding someone who, in addition to listening, helps analyze your past/current behaviors and provides guidance on what to do and what changes to make to put you on the path to success that will ultimately lead to the life you’ve always dreamed of.
Since our very first appointment, Keely has remained so patient, kind, and understanding. Her office is such a safe space, and not once have I felt judged by her. She accepts me as I am, and she wholeheartedly wants the best for me. I’m so so lucky to have found such a great therapist!”

Patricia Krikorian is one of our top prospects primarily due to her 25+ years of experience.
We also liked how she has experience, beyond private sessions, as she’s helped countless victims of domestic abuse, homelessness, and trauma in community social service settings.
Clients also told us in our interviews that she has excellent communication skills, taking the time to listen patiently rather than just offering empowering words.
Krikorian also caters to a wide variety of mental issues, including depression, anxiety, and trauma. Moreover, she addresses these issues through various therapeutic modalities.
For instance, previous clients shared that she would integrate mindfulness in one session and then help them progress through motivational interviewing in the next.
They also shared how her trauma healing is tailored to their needs and experiences, and not just a one-size-fits-all approach.
However, we noticed that her profile indicates she primarily serves clients ages 18 to 65+, so it’s best to keep this in mind if you’re looking for a therapist for the younger ones.
Felt comfortable and safe
“Patricia was easy to talk to and share with. She asked questions that brought out memories. I felt comfortable and safe.
We are both strong Christian ladies. I like the idea of Holistic healing with mind, body, and spirit. I loved her last advice to me as we were walking out. She said, Be aware in your new study Bible when God is talking to you.
Be aware. I felt for our 1st visit today that we had a good connection. Thank you, God, for connecting me with Patricia. I feel hopeful that there is a better life for me.”
