5 Best Health Screenings in Charlotte for When You Finally Decide to “Check Everything”

We extensively test and research all services we review. Here's why you can trust us.

Accessibility and Convenience: I checked how easy it is to book an appointment or walk in when needed. This matters because health checks should fit into a busy day without stress.

Service Variety: I reviewed the tests and screenings each clinic offers. This shows if you can get simple checkups and full lab work in one place.

Affordability and Pricing: I checked if prices are clear and fair for different services. I also looked at options that help people without insurance.

Care Coordination: I looked at how well clinics share results with your main doctor. This helps make follow-up care smoother and easier to manage.

Taking care of your health can feel confusing when you do not know where to start with standard checkups. That’s why finding a trusted clinic for preventative care really matters more than most people realize.

Fortunately, the best health screening options in Charlotte focus on far more than just running basic tests. They help you understand your overall wellness in a simple, clear way while keeping your long-term health on track.

Comprehensive well-being often goes beyond physical checkups, too. Having a strong local support system might mean consulting with a nutritionist or getting help from a mental health clinic when needed.

Read on to find the right care team for your needs.

They can help you out ASAP

Easy scheduling and fabulous doctor.

Recommended my other co-workers here.

If you’re sick or need a test, they can help you out ASAP as long as it’s nothing crazy. (Don’t walk in with a broken leg.)

I’m from TX, and would come here again on my trips. Just be mindful the last patient they see is at 6:20, and traffic in Charlotte can get intense.

Thank you Greg! Feeling better already!

Friendly staff was courteous and helpful

I needed a quick test for my employer and Carolina Express saw me in less than 10 minutes. Simple one page paperwork and I was back out the door. Very convenient location near the Harris Teeter on Park Road at Selwyn Avenue. Friendly staff was courteous and helpful.

Address: 1514 N. Graham Street

Contact: 704-375-0172

Hours: Monday – Friday: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM

Receiving essential preventive care without comprehensive insurance can feel incredibly stressful, but Care Ring helps remove those barriers by offering dedicated support through an impactful nonprofit healthcare model.

The organization works tirelessly to support local individuals who may otherwise struggle to access routine screenings and primary care.

When it comes to services, Care Ring provides reliable preventive checkups and ongoing medical support, with a strong focus on underserved patients and families.

They also incorporate excellent maternal and community health programs, adding extra layers of wrap-around support. This proactive outreach approach helps people get vital care early, rather than waiting until health problems worsen.

However, because they rely heavily on limited nonprofit funding, their overall appointment availability can be incredibly tight. Securing a time slot may take much longer than usual.

Pros

  • Low-cost nonprofit care access
  • Preventive and maternal programs
  • Strong community outreach
  • Supports uninsured patients

Cons

Don’t rush their health care

I was treated with care. Mrs. Sullivan happens to be very professional. The wait time is a little extended but I appreciate the fact that they focus on they’re patient needs and don’t rush they’re health care.

Very friendly and attentive to us

Loved my experience at care ring clinic I have 4 daughters under 5 so getting us all in the same day was truly a blessing it’s hard at other offices to get seen same day for just two so for all four girls plus myself was definitely worth it and a huge time saver. The clinic staff was very friendly and attentive to us, I would recommend to any family or mom looking for an all in one clinic for health needs they are the place to be.

Address: 1614 South Boulevard

Contact: 704-338-1268

Hours: Monday – Friday: 7:30 AM – 7:00 PM | Saturday – Sunday: 9 AM – 3:00 PM

Busy work requirements like physical exams or drug screenings demand a dedicated clinic that can handle everything quickly and correctly.

This is exactly why Concentra Urgent Care serves as a reliable hub for employer-related health checks and occupational screenings in Charlotte.

Their entire setup is designed more for strict corporate work compliance than casual walk-in care, which heavily shapes the efficiency of the experience.

They successfully bring together key occupational health services, including routine physicals, rapid drug testing, and basic urgent care, all under a single roof.

Plus, with their multiple locations across the city, it’s easier to find a nearby center. Their on-site testing capabilities also drastically speed things up for both employers and employees.

However, the environment can feel heavily clinical and less personal than a family practice, and wait times can stretch during peak morning hours.

Pros

  • Wide range of occupational exams
  • Multiple convenient locations
  • In-house testing and labs
  • Urgent care + work screenings combined

Cons

  • Clinical, less personal environment
  • Longer waits during peak hours

Customer Reviews

I love how inclusive they are

This location is by far one of the most elite healthcare facilities in Charlotte. The staff are knowledgeable and very hospitable, I felt very much at home. I love how inclusive they are despite the many different cultures and backgrounds that are served. I will continue to utilize this location for all employment screening and urgent care needs. Thank you for doing the Carolina’s proud.

Staff helped me right away

I went to Concentra for a pre-employment drug screen and had a wonderful experience. I had not seen, while checking my email in a frantic state, that I needed a paper that was attached to my email, to take with me for my screening.  Staff helped me right away be able to print it out there. I only waited maybe 10 mins max, and I know they were busy. It was a very professional easy visit and I’d go back if ever in need or urgent care. Thanks for everything there staff!!

Sometimes you just want lab testing without a full doctor’s visit, and Any Lab Test Now makes that possible in a very simple way. This service is built specifically for people who want direct access to health testing without navigating extra steps or medical referrals.

What stands out most is that they allow walk-ins and offer a wide range of comprehensive lab panels without ever needing a formal physician’s order.

Their pricing is clearly shown up front, too, which completely eliminates financial confusion before your testing begins.

Furthermore, results are usually delivered quickly via a secure online portal, often within a single day, making the whole process highly convenient.

A key drawback is that the physical experience can vary depending on the technician handling your blood draw, as some patients with deep or difficult veins may require multiple attempts.

  • No doctor referral needed
  • Wide range of lab tests
  • Fast online results
  • Transparent pricing

Cons

  • Blood draw experience may vary
  • Possible multiple needle attempts

Customer Reviews

The process was quick and painless

Just got a blood draw from Krystal. She was such a cool person. I came in stressed and annoyed and she took care of me. I asked her for the butterfly needle and she assured me she wouldn’t need it. The process was quick and pain less.

Comforting, professional and personable

I so dislike getting my blood taken, but needed to have my vitamin levels checked. The front staff greeted me with a very pleasant demeanor and I was taken back quickly by Liz.

Liz was very comforting, professional and personable. It felt like only seconds and I was done. Totally effortless for a nervous patient like myself. This place is perfect for an in and out service and a welcoming and friendly staff!
