5 Best Apartments in Charlotte Where Comfort Meets Convenience

best-apartments-charlotte
We extensively test and research all services we review. Here's why you can trust us.

Location and Accessibility: I checked how close each apartment community is to Uptown, major roads, public transit, and popular neighborhoods. A convenient location can make daily travel much easier.

Lifestyle Amenities: I looked at shared spaces like fitness centers, coworking lounges, and other community features. These extras can make everyday living more enjoyable.

Pet-Friendly Policies: I reviewed pet policies along with features like dog parks and pet washing stations. It's much easier to live with pets when the community is designed for them.

Value and Transparency: I compared base rent, required fees, and pricing details. Knowing the full monthly cost helps you avoid unexpected surprises.

Resident Feedback: I looked through recent tenant reviews to see how management and maintenance teams respond to concerns. Consistent service is a big part of a positive living experience.

Finding the best apartment in Charlotte can feel overwhelming with so many vibrant neighborhoods and communities to choose from.

Once you finally sign a lease, the real work begins, from scheduling furniture delivery to get settled to hiring local painters to give your new space a fresh, personal touch.

That’s why keeping your relocation process as stress-free as possible is so crucial when making a major move.

Having navigated a few moves around the Queen City myself, I know how much time goes into researching the right spot.

To save you the headache, I’ve narrowed down Charlotte’s top apartment communities so you can skip the endless scrolling and find the perfect place to call home.

How much does an apartment cost in Charlotte?

Apartment rent in Charlotte typically ranges from $1,480 to $1,675 per month, though the exact cost depends on the unit size and location. Studios are the most affordable, while three-bedroom apartments command the highest monthly rents.

1-Bedroom$1,475 – $1,480
2-Bedroom$1,779 – $1,784

The location is perfect

The leasing office and maintenance staff at The Crown are a 10/10! Super helpful and respond very quickly to questions or requests. I have really enjoyed my time living here so far. The common areas are stunning and consistently clean. Bonus: Every guest I have to my home always comments on how clean the apartment building looks and smells. The location is perfect. For all these reasons, I am willing to pay a slightly higher rent!

It’s got a vibe

Being a resident at Broadstone Queen City is truly treating yourself to ROYALTY!! From the way staff treat you; Dallas and Marquis are awesome people, to the little details in the community and your apartment, it’s got a vibe. Living in Charlotte and being a resident of many communities, It is buy far the best complex in the Uptown/South End area. Waking distance to many venues for entertainment to great food around the corner at Seoul. I highly recommend!!

I immediately loved the aesthetic of the facility

I initially went for an unscheduled tour. I immediately loved the aesthetic of the facility. I was able to meet Kay, who was very warm welcoming! We first discussed everything that I’d be looking for in a home. Kay showed me multiple units available that best fit me. The units were very beautiful and new. Kay did a very nice job breaking down the unit pricing and helping me stay within the budget that I discussed with her. She was absolutely amazing! My apartment search did not last long because I was definitely sold by the end of the tour!

This is a true hidden gem

RENT AT THIS APARTMENT COMPLEX! The staff is awesome, amenities are top notch, it’s not loud, super clean, larger parking garage, good prices, close to uptown, and modern/updated rooms!! I used to live in south end and all those apartments are overpriced, dirty, and loud…. This is a true hidden gem. Plus they are doing a free 8 weeks special rn which is so cool and worth it! They host so many fun events here and the community is amazing too. Can’t recommend enough.

Residents enjoy sweeping Uptown views along with top features like a private 50th-floor Sky Lounge, a rooftop pool, and an indoor pet spa with no breed or weight limits.

Beyond the building itself, the Fourth Ward spot adds everyday ease with a Walk Score of 95. This makes it simple to reach nearby shops, food, and fun without a car.

To make the search easier, virtual tours let future residents compare floor plans and check out the community before booking an in-person visit.

However, some amenities and fixtures are starting to show wear. A few residents also said repair requests sometimes need more than one follow-up before they’re done.

Pros

  • Tallest residential high-rise with Uptown views
  • Luxury amenities, including rooftop pool and Sky Lounge
  • Walk Score of 95 in Fourth Ward
  • No breed or weight restrictions for pets

Cons

  • Some amenities and fixtures show age
  • Maintenance requests may need multiple follow-ups

Our apartment has a beautiful view of Uptown Charlotte

My wife and I are loving the Vue. Ben Butenewicz of the leasing department was simply amazing during our move in progress. He kept intouch with us for about 5 months before we moved in and ensured we received the apartment we wanted. Other staff members like James, Miguel, Isaiah, Oscar, and Trinity are very professional and helpful.

Our apartment has a beautiful view of Uptown Charlotte.

Professionalism, knowledge, and overall presentation truly stood out

If you’re looking for an apartment in Charlotte, I highly recommend The Exchange. I toured the property with Dylan Santana, and his professionalism, knowledge, and overall presentation truly stood out. He provided clear insight into the community, the management quality, and how well the residents are cared for. The tour felt welcoming and genuine, and because of that experience, The Exchange is at the top of my list if I decide to relocate to Charlotte.

Definitely a top choice!

Came through the area looking for a new apartment and these seem like the best option so far. Really nice common area with a fireplace and pool tables. Dylan also did a fantastic job of showing us around and explaining the benefits of living here. Definitely a top choice!

Such a stunning apartment complex!

Such a stunning apartment complex! Every time I stay with my sister I’m obsessed with how clean and spacious everything is. The club house is huge and gorgeous with a really nice gym, a great space to gather with friends. I also love that there is a little dog park on the property since we always bring ours with us. A great location, beautiful complex, I’m just amazed every time!
