The 5 Best Vinyl Flooring Companies in Charlotte That’ll Step Up Your Home Game

We extensively test and research all services we review. Here's why you can trust us.

Material Durability: We focused on vinyl floors with thick wear layers, so they can handle heavy foot traffic and even pet claws. Stronger wear layers help your floors stay looking new longer.

Installation Services: We liked companies that use their own installation crews or work with trusted, certified contractors. That way, you don’t have to worry about gaps or uneven planks messing up your new look.

Waterproof Features: We only considered luxury vinyl planks and tiles that are 100% waterproof. So you can use them in kitchens, basements, and busy bathrooms without stressing about spills or moisture.

Customer Convenience: We gave extra points to stores that offer free in-home estimates or keep a large stock on hand. It’s so much easier (and faster) when you can see samples in your own home and start your project right away.

Vinyl has come a long way from the old shiny sheets we grew up with. Today, luxury vinyl plank (LVP) and luxury vinyl tile (LVT) give you that gorgeous hardwood or natural stone look without the crazy price tag or stressful upkeep.

Since it’s waterproof and super durable, it stands up to our humid Carolina summers with no problem at all. If you’re thinking about upgrading, we’ve rounded up the best vinyl flooring options in Charlotte to help you out.

These local spots make it easy to find the perfect style and service for your next project. Read on!

Website: https://www.refloor.com/

Address: 2030 Airport Flex Dr.

Contact: (844) 773-1004

Hours: Monday-Thursday, 8:00 AM – 8:00 PM | Friday-Saturday, 8:00 AM – 6:00 PM | Sunday, 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM

Refloor’s big selling point is luxury vinyl that’s totally life-proof and pet-friendly. They bring all the samples to your door, move your furniture, and take care of your old carpet.

Then, if you want, they can even install everything the next day. Their waterproof vinyl is perfect for basements or kitchens where spills happen a lot.

The team is really all about convenience and durable options that work in busy rooms.

The only downside is they don’t offer too many designs for their thickest, heavy-duty wear layer. Right now, you can only pick from three.

Still, with lifetime guarantees and pricing that covers everything, they’re great for busy families who want new floors without all the hassle.

Pros

  • Next-day installation available
  • Lifetime and money-back guarantees
  • Free in-home sample consultation
  • Furniture removal and cleanup included

Cons

  • Limited thickest wear layer designs; only 3 options

I am loving my new vinyl floor

I am loving my new vinyl floor.  I had the carpet upstairs torn out and went with vinyl planks.  It looks beautiful.  I’m extremely impressed with the quality of product and the meticulous care taken to install it.  I definitely got my money’s worth for this project.  I would recommend Refloor to anyone who wants a quality product and excellent customer service.

The floor looks great and I am very pleased

I recently had luxury vinyl flooring installed in my bedroom.   Josh was my job coordinator and he kept me informed throughout the two day process and provided valuable guidance. Carlos and Christian were my installers and they worked tirelessly to complete the job.  The floor looks great and I am very pleased with the finished product.  I highly recommend Refloor to anyone who needs new flooring.

Address: 931 North Polk Street

Contact: 704-889-3000

Hours: Monday-Friday, 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM | Saturday, 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM

Carpet & Flooring Liquidators has been run by the same family since 1989, and their team’s got more than 100 years of combined experience.

They buy huge amounts of name-brand flooring, so those savings go straight to you, and you can shop thousands of square feet of luxury vinyl ready for fast projects.

When my neighbor recently upgraded her rental, she grabbed their discounted vinyl remnants and ended up saving way more than expected.

Just remember that your choices depend on what’s available in the warehouse. We’ve heard that their vinyl isn’t totally scratch-resistant, either, so be careful moving heavy furniture.

Still, they’re a fantastic option for quick DIY upgrades or flipping a room on a tight budget.

Pros

  • Huge in-stock LVP/LVT inventory
  • Discounted remnants for small jobs
  • Professional or DIY installation

Cons

  • Limited selection based on inventory
  • Vinyl isn’t completely scratch-resistant

We knew that we had found a true expert

After shopping all the ‘big box’ stores for flooring, we thought we had found the flooring we wanted. Fortunately, however, one of our friends recommended we go see Moeen at Carpet & Flooring Liquidators. Within the first few minutes, we knew that we had found a true expert who would help us find the perfect flooring. Moeen not only knew his product inside and out but also knew what colors and styles to recommend. After taking a few samples home, we found the perfect vinyl plank floor and we couldn’t be happier. Thanks Moeen!!

Showroom is huge, with every option of flooring

Excellent experience all around. Showroom is huge with every option of flooring and carpet with experienced folks helping you. Installation was quick, professional, beautiful work by a highly experienced crew. I was shocked they finished 2 vinyl plank floors and 28 steps with carpet in 1/2 a day with a good price. Highly recommend this company.

They offer a curated selection of flooring, like their Evo Collection vinyl, which is tough enough to handle pets, kids, and busy hallways. Their products are always in stock locally, so installations can happen fast once you’re ready.

People appreciate their clear, all-inclusive pricing, too. They said that there are never hidden fees, and the price covers everything, including moving furniture and even resetting toilets.

The only thing to note is their collection isn’t super huge. For anyone who just wants great floors with less hassle, though, they deliver every time.

Pros

  • Certified and experienced installers
  •
  • Curated vinyl for high durability
  • Charlotte-based stock and warehousing

Cons

  • Limited selection of flooring styles

Would not hesitate to use them again

Recently ordered Luxury Vinyl Plank through Carlo from My New Floor.  Found him professional in every way, providing a wealth of information in a non-pushing way.  I saved a bunch of money compared to some of the other quotes we had, and would not hesitate to use them again. Also the installers, Patrick and Thomas did great installation always handling furniture with care and taking great pains to keep the installation sites as clean as possible.

Did a wonderful job on my new vinyl plank flooring

Thomaz and the other gentleman (I didn’t catch his name, I’m sorry!) did a wonderful job on my new vinyl plank flooring. They were on time and were very professional. I think it looks great! After such a great experience with my main level, I look forward to the carpet install that will be completed in a couple days upstairs.

Finding a contractor you trust for new floors is a big deal, and Carpet To Go really stands out for that reason. They’ve been a family business right here in the Carolinas for over 30 years, and that local experience shows.

A coworker who used them couldn’t stop talking about how smooth their in-house installation was from start to finish; no confusion, no delays.

They never use subcontractors, so it’s always their own trained crews handling everything from subfloor prep to installation. You can even schedule a free shop-at-home visit!

Plus, if you’re planning a bathroom remodel, you can trust their tile installation pros.

But keep in mind, the extra 5% in-home discount only works if you buy right away, and their workmanship guarantee only lasts a year.

Pros

  • 5% price-beat guarantee
  • Free shop-at-home vinyl consultations
  •
  • Carries LVP, LVT, and sheet vinyl

Cons

  • Must buy immediately for discount
  • Workmanship guarantee is only one year

Carpet To Go had an Armstrong product that was perfect

We were looking for a Luxury Vinyl Tile for our kitchen. Carpet To Go had an Armstrong product that was perfect. We wanted 12″ tiles and they had them. Every other floor provider tried to switch us off to 18″ tiles. Because the kitchen area is small, the 12″ makes the area look bigger. The installation ran into some issues but they were resolved quite satisfactorily.

Super friendly staff, great selection, highly competitive pricing

Carpet To Go has been successfully solving my family’s flooring needs for over 20 years.  We’ve gotten both carpet and luxury vinyl plank.  Super friendly staff, great selection, highly competitive pricing and hassle-free installation!  Each time we’ve gone, they take the time to understand our needs and walk us through various options.  Look forward to having them complete our next flooring project.

5. Front Row Flooring

Contact: (704) 652-1606 | [email protected]

Hours: Monday-Friday, 7:00 AM – 3:00 PM (After-hours by appointment)

Homeowners know how important it is to find tough floors on a tight budget, and Front Row Flooring has options that really fit the bill. They focus on “Cash & Carry” rates for contractors, designers, and people who like to tackle projects themselves.

Their materials-only prices are designed to easily beat major big-box store prices, which is great if you just need the flooring materials. Plus, they offer a wide selection of luxury vinyl planks that look just like real wood but can stand up to heavy traffic.

The only downside is their showroom is in Mint Hill, so you have to make a drive from Charlotte. Plus, they’re closed on weekends, so it can be tricky to view samples unless you book an appointment during the week.

Pros

  • Unbeatable Cash & Carry rates
  • Wide variety of vinyl styles
  • Great for high-traffic rentals

Cons

  •
  • Closed on weekends

We will only work with Front Row Flooring in the future

Front Row Flooring recently completed a beautiful job in our new townhome. They replaced carpets with LVP in three rooms within a day. From initial discussion of the project, to ordering materials, to executing the job, Gloria and her team did a fantastic job. We will only work with Front Row Flooring in the future and recommend them fondly!

Installation was quick, professional, and the floors look amazing. If you need flooring in Mint Hill or Charlotte, I highly recommend Front Row Flooring!
