The 5 Best Prenatal Massage Spas in Charlotte for Safe and Relaxing Care

We extensively test and research all services we review. Here's why you can trust us.

Qualifications – We looked at whether the therapists are certified in prenatal massage and have specialized training in caring for pregnant clients.

Safety practices – We checked if the clinic follows proper safety protocols, including the use of pregnancy-safe techniques, positioning, and appropriate equipment.

Treatment approach – We reviewed how each provider customizes sessions based on the client’s trimester, comfort level, and specific concerns like back pain or swelling.

Facility and comfort – We assessed the cleanliness of the space, the availability of supportive cushions or pregnancy pillows, and the overall relaxing environment.

Availability and scheduling – We selected services that accommodate flexible booking, minimize waiting times, and offer convenient appointment options.

Price – We included services with reasonable and transparent pricing, taking into account session length, inclusions, and overall value.

A colleague of mine once shared how sore she felt throughout her pregnancy, and how it made her just a little (okay, very) irritable, most of which her husband lovingly endured, bless him.

She eventually gave in and booked a proper massage after realizing her husband’s idea of “pressure” felt more like a cat making biscuits.

So, my team and I reviewed the best prenatal massage spas in Charlotte that can help with common pregnancy aches like sciatica, swelling, and lower back pain. Keep reading to find something that delivers a safe, relaxing, and truly therapeutic experience.

How much does a prenatal massage cost in Charlotte?

Prenatal massage in Charlotte costs around $100 to $150 for a 60-minute session. Lower-priced options can start at about $75 to $90, while more premium or specialized services can go up to $170 or more, especially for luxury spa settings.

It’s reassuring to know that ZOË Massage at South End can provide highly tailored prenatal massage experiences. To give you an idea, they use supportive cushions and pregnancy-safe positioning instead of flat table setups, reducing strain on your body and improving comfort.

Beyond that, we like how you can combine relaxation and therapeutic methods like neuromuscular work and myofascial therapy to target deeper pregnancy-related tension. These additional methods can essentially provide better pain relief and long-term benefits.

For busy or fatigued moms, it’s nice that they offer online booking, clear availability, and daily operating hours until nine in the evening.

Now, we noticed that their prenatal massage services are slightly pricier than others; it costs around $120, which is higher than your budget options in the city.

Nonetheless, we do believe that their services are still accessible, plus it’s great that they don’t require or push you into subscriptions or long-term commitments.

Pros

  • Tailored prenatal massage
  • Flexible booking and scheduling
  • Wide range of therapeutic techniques
  • No membership pressure or contracts

Cons

  • Slightly pricey session

Set a comfortable and safe environment

“I booked a massage with Chey and she was wonderful! Very kind and informative and set a comfortable and safe environment. Michelle at the front desk was just as kind and lovely! I highly recommend!!!”

We love how Palestra Spa & Yoga Studio can combine prenatal massage with yoga, childbirth education, and wellness programs for a more holistic support system during pregnancy.

Their services are thoughtfully designed for pregnant women as well. For insurance, they use gentle techniques, light-to-firm pressure, and specialized cushions to keep you relaxed and supported.

If you want a more personalized experience, it’s a good idea to explore their add-ons, such as aromatherapy, scalp treatments, or hot stones—it might help hit the spot even more.

That said, we’re glad that they offer bundled options like prenatal yoga classes plus a massage session for a discounted rate. Just note that their prenatal massage can feel a bit pricey, starting at $130.

Keep in mind that their slots can fill up quickly, too. You’ll probably have to book in advance, especially if you prefer a specific schedule.

Luckily, they have extended hours throughout the week, including evenings and weekends.

Pros

  • Holistic prenatal care
  • Offers soothing add-ons
  • Flexible session lengths
  • Offers value packages for prenatal clients

Cons

  • Slots can fill up quickly
  • Slightly pricier sessions

The environment is relaxing and welcoming

“I had an incredible experience at Palestra. Angeline was the one who did my massage, and she was absolutely fantastic. Hands down the best massage I’ve ever had in my life. The customer service was excellent from start to finish, and the environment is relaxing and welcoming. I’m definitely coming back and highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a great massage.”

If you’re not too sold on the idea of getting a massage during pregnancy, then Elements Massage might give you some peace of mind, given that only therapists with prenatal-specific training can perform these sessions. It helps you feel more confident during your visit.

We learned that they match you with a therapist based on your needs, preferences, and concerns for a more tailored experience. They can design sessions that significantly reduce swelling, ease back pain, and improve overall comfort.

It’s also worth highlighting that their services are available for all pregnancy stages, from the first to the third trimester, which is something not all spas can provide.

The hitch? Their availability can feel crowded during peak hours, so it’s best to schedule in advance. Fortunately, they offer flexible hours so you’ll have more slots to work with.

Lastly, we feel relieved that they provide a satisfaction guarantee, so if your session doesn’t meet expectations, they can make it up to you at no extra cost.

Business hours:

Right off the bat, we appreciate how Mood House Dilworth uses a side-lying position with pillows and bolsters to create a comfortable setup that avoids pressure on the abdomen while still relieving tension.

On top of that, we’re happy to know that only therapists with prenatal certifications or extensive specialized experience are allowed to work with pregnant clients.

We also love their unique aromatherapy concept, wherein you select a scent based on your mood that’s integrated into the massage experience with breathwork.

Even their environment is well-designed, featuring cabana-inspired massage rooms, a meditation room, and a Palm Springs-style aesthetic that feels more like a retreat than a typical clinic.

It’s just a bummer that they don’t accommodate first-trimester prenatal massages; you’ll have to look for early pregnancy relief elsewhere.

The good news is that they don’t have any issues servicing those in their second or this trimester. And we have to give them props for maintaining a consistent, welcoming, and relaxing environment.

Pros

  • Purposeful comfort and safety
  • Modern and immersive spa environment
  • Choose your mood aromatherapy concept
  • Certified therapists with prenatal expertise

Cons

  • Doesn’t accommodate first-trimester prenatal massages
  • Strict cancellation policy

What’s unique about Eden Therapy and Massage- Southend is their custom pregnancy table that allows expecting moms to lie face down without worry. This setup is usually more comfortable than a standard side-lying position, especially if you miss lying down on your stomach.

Other than that, we think it’s handy that they also offer neuromuscular therapy and deep tissue work for more targeted relief. You can take advantage of their bundled prenatal massage packages at discounted rates for a holistic session.

Another plus is their location. Their spa is centrally located with access to street parking, a parking lot, and nearby decks—this is a lifesaver when mobility becomes more limited later in pregnancy.

Quick heads-up, though: their cancellation and rescheduling policies are strict. Rescheduling less than 24 hours before your appointment will cost you at least $30, and a full charge for no-shows.

But hey, they operate daily with long hours, making it easier for you to secure appointments that fit into different schedules.

Pros

  • Has a unique pregnancy table
  • Multiple parking options
  • Offers package deals for prenatal clients
  • Flexible hours

Cons

  • Strict cancellation and rescheduling policy
  • Can be slightly pricey

Consistently helps relieve my pain
